Fire Destroys Recycling Center, but Rebuilding is in the Future
Mack's Twin City Recycling hit by fire
Fire claimed all Mack's equipmentDecember 19, 2013 - IT's true. We are sadden to say part of our recycling center was destroyed in an early morning fire. Ken Mathis built the location of Mack's Twin City Recycling on North Lincoln Avenue almost 20-years ago. Although the building is a complete loss, we will remain in business. After all, our company saying is "Starting it Over." We plan to do just that.
Co-Owner, Ken Mathis, Doing Right No Matter What the CostJune 9, 2013- Unfortunately, scrap metal theft is on the rise and Mack's Twin City was hit four times between September and December last year. This recycling center is not the only one that has been hit locally and as a result, many facilities (including Mack's) are increasing their security. Co-owner, Ken Mathis, understands the important role he plays in preventing/solving these crimes, which is why he is always willing to work with police when he thinks a transaction is fishy. Such tips to police and stolen materials means Mathis is out what he paid the thieves, but it is the right thing to do. These values of honesty and teamwork run deep in this family-owned and -operated business. Ask any Mack's Twin City customer and they'll say the same.

This means members of our community are recycling more. Read more on this dramatic increase and the impact it can have on our community. Mack's Twin City Recycling is the place to do this. Why? Because we are conveniently located, customer-oriented, and community-driven.
